Remote Vans
Disclaimer: While I am the original designer of the items below, they have continued to evolve under the people who have come after me. Some of the images used are the most current iterations of the designs, and while I don’t know who has worked on these after my co-op has ended, I want to make sure they receive the credit that is due to them. I have not included anything that has meaningfully deviated from my original designs.
Cyber Shower™/ Storage Box
During my second Co-op with Remote Vans, I used my plumbing experience to enhance their offerings. I designed plumbing diagrams, collaborated with a contractor for a custom shower pan, and created space-saving RV plumbing compliant casing. To address water consumption, we developed a recirculating shower system for extended use. Although I couldn't finish due to lead times, Remote Vans showcased the innovation at the Portland Metro Dealers 66th Annual RV Show as covered by Gear Patrol.
Aluminum Cabinetry
Problem
Originally, using 3/4” marine grade Baltic Birch for high-quality cabinetry led to weight and cost issues due to reliance on Russian supply post-Ukraine invasion.
Requirements
A variety of cabinets in various sizes that can be used in multiple positions to fit the needs of clients
A 48” and 24” cabinet that can be used for storage.
A 27” Cabinet that works with the Cyber Shower™ I was also working on.
A cabinet used to house the microwave.
A cabinet that will act as the control panel for utilities.
Custom Van Build
While Remote Vans has now moved away from custom builds in an effort to standardize and expedite the van build process, I had the pleasure of designing their last custom van. I was responsible for designing custom furniture, walls, ceilings, and plumbing system.
Client Requirements
A water system that contains a sink, outdoor shower, a freshwater tank with a 24-gallon capacity, a water heater, and a grey water tank.
an electric system that uses solar panels to trickle charges a single battery with room for a second battery should it be required.
A custom bed system that could be used in two different positions based on how they choose to travel (1 vs 3 passengers)
Additional seating for passengers
Custom overhead Cabinets
